Segway® Australia are officially licenced by Segway® Inc to provide all our customers in Australia with full after-sales service. We are the first Segway® Distributor in the world to come online with Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 capabilities. All Segway® services are performed at Australia’s only Authorised Segway® Service Centre at Segway® Australia.
Operating since 2008, our Level 4 Service Centre is equipped to handle any repair needed for the popular Segway® PT – i2, x2, i2SE, x2SE Models.
Contact us for any Segway® InfoKey programming requirements. All we need is your old Infokey or Infokey codes. See below for the Infokey price breakdown.
Tyre service is also our specialty. We carry new and used x2 tyres and complete wheels (new and used).
We carry all service parts in our dedicated warehouse at Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
Segway® phone support is available.
ALL repairs (warranty & non-warranty) carry a 90 day warranty on the parts replaced. The 90 day warranty starts on the day the Segway® is freighted or collected from Segway® Australia.
We service all Australian Segway® Distributor supplied customers. We do not offer warranty service for customers with ‘Grey Market’ Segways® purchased outside Australia – bases or complete units purchased from another party. However Segway® Inc do have a worldwide warranty and service program to still have warranty and service options and we recommend sending the Segway® back to the point of purchase if your unit falls into this category.
Warranty on New Segways
All new Segways® come with a Factory 12 month warranty from date of registration. ALL Segways® that are outside this 12 month period are classed as non-warranty.
If you are unsure if your Segway® is still in warranty period and needs service/diagnostics, please contact us at email@example.com or 0431 119 120 with the 12-digit serial number. We will then trace the serial number for clarification and provide you with the date the warranty started/expired – no exceptions.
Segway® Australia does not provide freight or post options, unless by prior arrangement. We will not accept any liability for any damage, loss of goods or income.
Any damage to box / Segway® / Powerbase / Infokey or any other parts will be noted. We will not accept any liability for any damage, loss of goods or income.
i2 & x2 – + i2SE & x2SE models need to be programmed and sent to Segway Inc. Programmed Radioboard fee $475.00. This includes a new Radioboard and return freight AUS-USA-AUS.
Gen2 & SE Pivot Sensor installation and calibration $550.
Inspection / Diagnostic Fee
A standard $350 inspection / diagnostic fee will be applied to ALL non-warranty Segways that are sent in for inspection / diagnostics.
Battery Inspection/Testing/Diagnostics/Battery Re-animation $350 per battery. If we are unsuccessful in saving your battery a $75 testing fee is charged. Return freight is at the customer’s expense – see Freight / Shipping above. We can also do a test on your working battery to determine the health percentage = $100 per battery. We provide you with a printout on completion.
Infokey supplied for Service:
ALL Segways must be sent with at least 1 x working Infokey. If not, a $50 fee will be charged.
Customer supplies working Infokey to be cloned to another Infokey they have supplied: Fee $50 each
Customer does not have Infokey Codes or original Infokey to clone and we didn’t sell the original Segway (Grey Import / Other Supplier). We have to request the codes from Segway Inc. Code Request $75 each.
Infokey Return Shipping / Post:
Please include a self-addressed Priority Post Bag for return post for Infokeys.
